We are currently looking for a highly motivated, service-orientated professional to fill the role of Temporary
(approximately 8 months) Business Development & Marketing Support Professional. Reporting to the Manager of Branding & Partnerships, this unique and exciting position is perfect for a recent Marketing Student Graduate or candidates with marketing experience. Over the next 8 months you will gain valuable resume experience related to marketing an insurance company, building/maintaining strong professional relationships with internal/external customers and managing an inventory of promotional items.

What Will You Be Doing?

•As part of the Business Development team, you will have plenty of room to be creative and management is
open to new ideas
•Trade show/community events administration – scheduling, event registration, booth design setup/take down,
swag distribution
•Provide support for channel management activities including but not limited to assisting in setup of meetings,
coordination of training and special events
•Provide direct administrative and office management support to all members of the team

•Cultivate business relationships through networking and industry events
•Assist in the development of presentation and marketing materials
•Assist in marketing campaigns for Trillium and for broker partners
•Assist in the marketing of Trillium’s agricultural podcast – The Back 40
•Assist in the development of social media posts and manage posts across all platforms
•Manage promotional items inventory

NOTE: this is a hybrid work position. The successful candidate’s work week will average 3 days remote and 2 days in office.

Who You Are

•Effective interpersonal and presentation skills
•Comfortable being independent and making decisions, while also being cooperative and willing to take direction
•Experience in an administrative role with a keen interest in marketing administration
•Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field; OR
•1+ years of administrative background
•Desire to learn and apply new skills
•Strong knowledge and understanding of the digital media and marketing landscape, including various social media
outlets

•Solid computer competency; spreadsheets, power point presentation, and, internet search engines
•Excellent interpersonal skills and effective relationship building skills, with a customer centric approach
•Ability to self-motivate and work independently, while remaining a solid team player
•Ability to problem solve; identify and analyze issues and problems and recommend and implement solutions
•Ability to recommend and implement change, maintaining a positive effect on employee morale
•Ability to work effectively in an environment with sensitive and confidential information and situations
•Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment and maintain critical attention to detail
•Valid Drivers License is required
